EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE TRAINING CONDUCTED BY MKWD

Emergencies and disasters can strike anywhere and at any time bringing workplace injuries and illnesses with them. Employers and workers may be required to deal with an emergency when it is least expected and proper planning before an emergency is necessary to respond effectively.

Emergency preparedness is a well-known concept in protecting workers’ safety and health. Putting together a comprehensive emergency action plan involves conducting a hazard assessment to determine what, if any, physical or chemical hazards inside or from outside the workplaces could cause an emergency.

In MKWD, as approved by the Board of Directors and duly supported by General Manager Stella M. Gonzales, a training is conducted for some personnel with he same topic about emergency preparedness and response. it educates the people on what to do on some disasters and being resilience also.

The said activity was spearheaded by Disaster Risk and Response Management Committee headed by Engr. Winifredo D. Ceniza, Jr. with the presentation presented by the resource persons, AGM Wilesper Lisandro M. Alqueza, Department Manager Ramil A. Condez, Department Manager Elben S. Daquipa and Eduard Paul O.
