MKWD celebrates FIRE PREVENTION MONTH

To heighten public and employees’ awareness of the importance of Fire Prevention in saving lives and properties, MKWD joins in the said celebration,with the theme “Ligtas na Pilipinas Ating Kamtin, Bawat Pamilya ay Sanayin, Kalaaman sa Sunog ay Palawakin.”

As we all know, March is observed as FIRE PREVENTION MONTH in the Philippines by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, issued on November 17, 1966, by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos. This aims to encourage every Filipino to be responsible in keeping its own household to be safe from fire. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is the lead agency for the observance.

This year, MKWD started its Information dissemination last March 1, 2019 by hanging and posting tarpaulin at the office gate entrance to promote awareness for the consuming public. Inspection of fire safety implements and safety plan was conducted at the office per division to conduct checking of wirings, fire extinguishers, escape plans and testing the alarm system.

March 5, is the Lecture on safety and prevention and Fire Escape Drill and Fire Fighting Drill.
