MKWD launched the Tree Planting of 5000 Seedlings at different MKWD sources under the 630++ Hectares Watershed which is managed by the Metro Kidapawan Water District last June 2019 during the celebration of the World Environment Day & Philippine Environment Month 2019. The second wave was last July 2019 and the 3rd wave was conducted last August 9, 2019.
The start of Week long celebration of KASADYA SA TIMPUPO 2019 the Office of the Vice Mayor, City Councilors and the Association of Barangay Captains in Kidapawan started the Festival with a Tree Planting. According to ABC President Morgan Melodias that in every celebration of the Festival the association will start it with a tree planting. Present also during Tree Planting are different Barangay Officails from the 40 Barangays in Kidapawan City, the staff of Hon. Vice Mayor Jivy Roe Jivz Bombeo, Hon. Maritess Malaluan and staff, Hon. Ruby Sison and Staff.
GM Gonzales, let the officials of the Barangays to plant trees at the Lumot Spring source of MKWD in Barangay Balabag which is also the boundary of Barangay Perez. Because of the battle cry of water that water is life and trees makes life Hon. Morgan Melodias and Hon.
