MKWD Launches BOSS Kabit at Brgy. Singao to Streamline Water Service Applications

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Marking a new chapter in proactive public service, the Metro Kidapawan Water District (MKWD) successfully launched BOSS Kabit (Barangay One-Stop Shop Kabit) at the Brgy. Singao Covered Court on February 25, 2026. This event represents the first in a planned series of community-based service hubs, with the district expecting to expand this efficient model to more barangays in the coming months to ensure water services are more accessible than ever before.

The initiative transformed the local covered court into a fully operational service center, allowing residents to complete the entire application process in a single visit. The workflow was anchored by personalized one-on-one orientations for every applicant, ensuring a clear and direct understanding of service policies. This was followed immediately by an evaluation of required documents by the MKWD team and concluded with the convenience of onsite payment collection, effectively removing the need for residents to travel to the main office to process their applications.

This localized approach yielded immediate results, with the district successfully securing 29 new applications directly from the Brgy. Singao community through this one-day processing event.

The response from residents was overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the affordability of the special anniversary promotion. During the event, Mrs. Mary Grace Dasalla a resident of Purok Saging, Brgy. Singao, Kidapawan City, an applicant who completed her documentation and paid the promo downpayment of Php 550.00, expressed deep appreciation for the initiative. She noted that she was very thankful and happy for the affordable and accessible service, highlighting that having the office come directly to the barangay was a great help to her and her neighbors.

By integrating personalized one-on-one orientations with real-time verification and discounted payment options, MKWD continues to modernize its service delivery. This successful pilot at Brgy. Singao serves as the blueprint for future outreach programs as the district moves to bring these essential services to even more communities across its service area.
