Metro Kidapawan Water District (MKWD) continues its commitment to education by partnering with schools in Kidapawan City and neighboring municipalities through its immersion programs for senior high school students which aims to equip the youth with essential knowledge and skills, providing them with exposure to real workplace settings.

During the exit report and presentation at the end of the students’ 10-day training program, the participating students were required to present a video showcasing the learning experiences and insights gained during their time in the district assigned to various departments. The activity facilitated by the Admin and Human Resource Division, was held at MKWD Mess Hall on April 25, 2024.

According to OIC Division Manager Marian W. Dawa, as she gave the rationale of the activity, “MKWD provides Senior High School learners with opportunities to familiarize themselves with the workplace, to stimulate employment, and to apply their competencies in areas of specialization in work environments.”

The event featured video presentations from partner schools such as Linangkob National High School, St. Mary Academy, North Valley College Foundation, Inc – Senior High, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College High School Department, Collegio de Kidapawan Senior High, Manongol National High School, Lanao National High School, and R. Onofre H. Campo High School.

OIC General Manager Leonardo J. Cenar and AGM for Admin and Finance Jemima A. Chua shared inspiring messages with the students. Additionally, department managers attended to witness the students’ presentations, while some teachers from participating schools provided encouragement and support to their students.

In recognition of MKWD’s mentorship and support, partner schools Collegio de Kidapawan, Notre Dame of Makilala, Kidapawan City National High School, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College- IBED, Linangkob National Highschool and Manongol National High School presented certificates of appreciation expressing gratitude to MKWD’s management for their role in facilitating the students’ growth and holistic learning experiences. – jbo/PRU
